Photo adventure in Zagori – Greece
This year, the Adventure Class met in the mountains of northern Greece in October to go on photo adventure tours with me for a week. This time, I had prepared the Zagori rivers and gorges as the main topic.

The butterfly garden in Limbara, Sardinia
In the municipality of Berchidda is the Giardino delle Farfalle – literally translated as Butterfly Garden. However, I think “garden” is a bit too short for this grand, well-thought-out, spacious facility. It is a natural oasis for butterflies and butterfly enthusiasts. In June, Peter from Leonberg came to photograph butterflies with me at this location for a week.

Migratory butterflies – butterflies that travel 4000 kilometers

Photo adventure – Caves and cliffs in Sardinia
In October, the Adventure Class met in Sardinia to go on photo adventure tours with me for a week. We had already been on canyon adventures (2022) and volcano adventures (2023) together in Greece. As in previous years, I did not want to visit touristy clichés when selecting the excursion destinations, but rather a challenging…

Dragonfly photography – how to catch them in flight
Dragonflies have long fascinated me as photographic subjects. I admire their beautiful colors, bizarre body structure, and flying skills. My absolute favorites for dragonfly photography are the jewelwings (family Calopterygidae). On Sardinia, I frequently see them on small rivers and streams, sitting, in action, interaction, and in flight. I have been studying her for over a year…

“You don’t take a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” Ansel Adams
